Kristina Nielsen did her PhD in the lab of Nikos Logothetis at the Max Planck Institute in Tuebingen, Germany. In 2007, she was ready to trade rainy Germany for sunny California, and joined Ed Callaway's lab at the Salk Institute. Kristina works on a joint project with the Krauzlis lab. Her research focuses on gaining a deeper understanding of the complex networks that constitute the brain. Outside the lab, Kristina can be found on the back of a horse, hiking, or on the beach.
