Rich has been at the Salk Institute since 1997 and also holds an adjunct appointment in the UCSD Department of Neuroscience. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Princeton University, obtained his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from UCSF in the laboratory of Steve Lisberger, and completed his post-doctoral training at the Laboratory of Sensorimotor Research at the National Eye Institute working with Fred Miles and Bob Wurtz. When he’s not busy in the lab, Rich enjoys traveling, exploring art and history, and doing anything – or nothing in particular – with his wife Laura and his sons Alexander and Nathaniel. rich@salk.edu ext.1257
